  • Background Image To Change When Scrolling Through Buttons.

Posted by Caston Sacmon on March 17, 2010 at 4:19 pm

Hello, I have a photoshop menu with every text on a different layer.

The paper frame (see attached photo) is also a layer, with a cut out, where there photos at right show through.

I am trying to make it so that when a particular text button is selected, the image on the right changes.

I have images on the right in layers behind the paper boarder for each text button.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

multiple menus and the use of the button auto activating feature is the only way to achieve what you are asking..

check out the tutorials in the red section of my website numbers 5-8
    https://www.encoretuts.ukpc.net/encore%201.5%20.html

I know that they are for version 1.5 but the basics are the same…. hope this helps…just remember that you are using still images where as I used video files in the tut…

or you could use the multiple menus and the “replacement layer” along with button auto activation…. tut #6 in the green section here…. https://www.encoretuts.ukpc.net/encore%202.html

Hey, thanks for the info. I figured this might be the only way.

Is there anyway to make the background image, a movie and use the selection of buttons to move to a marker in the background movie. This seems like it should be possible.

    Thanks again.

I suppose you could link the button to a chapter marker in the background movie, bear in mind that it won’t be a seamless transition from the playing point in the menu background movie to the start of the actual movie chapter marker…just play around untill you get it all working to your liking, and use a DVD-RW disc for testing purposes… 😉

How did I not think of using a stinkin’ DVD-RW?? 🙂 So many wasted dvds…
