or you could just use any button from the Encore Library and then just hide all the layers and then go up to “edit menu colour sets” and ramp the opacity for the selected and activated states down to zero. You would have to be careful here so as you dont get what is known as “Button Overlap”

sorry.. i must have misread your original post.. you could infact then make a regtangular layer over the text and then fill with a colour and then turn the opacity for this layer down to 0%, as long as this layer is in a button folder.

the best way would be to open up the menu in photoshop and then select the “green dot highlight layer” (providing that it is in a (+)button layer) and then press CTRL+J the appropriate amount of times as there is text selections on the menu, this will give you copies of the highlight layer. Now all you need do is select each layer in turn and then move them to the corresponding menu selection text. also make sure you hide the (=1)highlight layer(unpoke the eyeball for this layer), and then save this out and re-import into Encore.

only possible with multiple menus i would say

if you add an overide to the timeline then you wont be able to use the play all button, as timeline-A will play and then return back at its end.
How I would do it is to have a “play all” button linked to Timeline-A and then its end action to go to timeline-B, etc,etc,etc. And then have 4 seperate buttons for each individual timeline with the button ovveride set to go back to the proceeding button on the menu.By the way what version of Encore are you using?

nope it donsen’t in 2.0 , you have to right click on the monitor (as it will be docked) and then select undock. The downside to this is you will have to either close the monitor down alltogether and then if you wish to view a timeline again you will have to go to WINDOW>MONITOR or press F9 to get it back up again for viewing.

Hi..
You need what I term a “video sandwich” this is a background with your buttons on top of this layer, click your menu to select it and then hold down the ALT key on the keyboard and then click/hold/drag/drop the video asset onto your menu and release.
As for the problems with your buttons it sounds like it could be down to “button overlap”, please check out my website I have 47 tutorials on how to create/prepare menus etc,etc,etc for Encore(https://www.sitesled.com/members/doogs/ and also adobe-evangelists(https://www.adobeevangelists.com/encore/)this should help you in getting to grips with what is a good DVD authoring package

As Joe has stated..it is not in the DVD spec to have music playing without a break across multiple menus 🙁

Have you had a look at e-dvd (https://www.sonic.com/products/Professional/eDVD/new.aspx) used in conjuction with Encore you may be able to create what you are after… I haven’t used this software so I can’t realy say that this is what you are looking for

you could just use a copy of the menu and then add some audio or soundFX to this in your video editor and then export as .avi
