I want to setup video buttons that when selected show a button title text elsewhere on the screen. I want all button text titles to be invisible unless the button is selected and I want them all to appear in the same area. Is this possible?

I’ve tried to do this before and unfortunately Encore doesn’t like muptiple highlights in one place.

It’s easy enough to create a highlight away from the button. Although for text, there are issues because Encore highlights aren’t anti-aliased, so the text is a bit blocky.

Where Encore falls down though is that it treats any highlights in a area, including additional buttons’ highlights, as one highlight. So if you have three titles in a box, all three will appear when you roll over any button.

Sorry if that’s not what you wanted to hear.

But you can use multiple copies of the same menu and the auto-activate feature of a button to trick the audience into thinking that they are seeing only one menu.
