You can upgrade to XR functionality for $595. That will give you the Audio functionality you need.

You’ve got an offending codec installed in your library>QuickTime folder.

    Take care,

    Hi,

We’ve been looking at 7.3 with Leopard and no problems so far. I’m not sure about Tiger, but I don’t think there is much risk to moving up.

    Michael,

We’ll do our best to continue supporting HDx customers. Our only limitation is if the hardware needs to be modified to add or turn on features we may not be able to do that. Remember Media 100 was a hardware design company and we do not employee any of those hardware engineers at Boris FX. We will also try to aggressively price upgrades for HDx customers who want/need to upgrade to the AJA hardware.

Guy, 10 YEARS! Let’s support the company and product and purchase an upgrade. Geez, if you wait another 10 years without purchasing something, we probably won’t be here to help you out :).

Time to get on OS X, Mac Intel, Version 12! There’s a whole new world out there.

We need the support of our loyal customers to purchase some products from time to time.

    Have a great holiday!

Thanks for the feedback Tom. We hear you on the feature requests, especially the multichannel audio and Our “catch frame” just won’t do. With regard to the slow rendering, We were working on a release a rendering fix in a V 12.0.3 but we just received a new AJA driver and moved the testing resources to that project, that one is called 12.1.1 and is the hardware equivalent to the 12.1 Producer release. We hope to release 12.1.1 very soon.

Hello, we know HDV is a big user request and we are evaluating our engineering options for development. Once our last Leopard release is out of the way, we will make our next version of Media 100 the main priority (actually, we did start work a few months ago on the next version). Look for future announcements in the coming weeks or months.

I’m using a Sony deck and not a camera, but I have not seen any issues this past week. We also did not change the underpinning of the engineering for DV with Version 12. We do use QuickTime to do some of the work behind the scenes. Did you change anything related to that? I do have 7.3 on my system (I’m testing it) but haven’t seen anything. I don’t think Sony would have changed anything to break you unless you loaded a firmware update on your camera or deck. Anything else change?

    Thanks
    Dave
