This is real and we sold a lot of them. The G4 Powerbook killed the project. It worked with a mini magma expansion chassis and came in a custom fitted case, click on the side pictures to see that case.

    Floh,

The old knowledgebase is gone and all the links are now dead, we will post the PPC codecs again very soon.

    Hi,

I know about the issue as it has been reported before, there was no report of this in SQA over the years, I looked back. That’s not surprising, as we may test differently than you edit. I know I tend to have one project with many different bins and programs when I am testing a new version. That’s just the way I work.

Bottom line, we’re going to spend some engineering time looking at it. BTW- I have seen Chris’ example E before.

My only suggestion to help some people would be if you intend to work on the same project, launch the application from the application icon instead of the project icon, make sure you set the preference to remember your last project saved. That may help a bit of your frustration.

If I create a new project, titled “test open project”. Save it to my desktop. Quit Media 100. Then double click the “test open project” (this is the clap board icon) that file opens and does not prompt me to create a new project. If I close that “test open project” file, choose create new project and title that file “test open project2” save that to the desktop, quit Media 100, then double click “test open project2” it opens the “test open project2” project (the clap board icon).

You’ll need to tell me more about what you are doing, I don’t see that engineering has fixed this issue in version 12. So something is missing in my test, you’ll have to give me some clues to reproduce it. I’m on 12.1.1.

This works for me on 12.1.1, I’ll have to see if it’s a 12.0.3 thing. You could toss your preferences and see if that fixes it.

Why would you even consider purchasing anything other than a Media 100? You’ve been using software and hardware reliably for maybe 5,6,7 years? Tell me what type of high tech device can give you that much use for your $$$. Your documents and media would move seamlessly to your new systems. The AJA is proven in the industry and we work very closely with their engineering; and Boris has proven that he is making a go with Media 100, Media 100 is a nice complement to his existing products (much like the other NLE’s out there). So, why consider anything else? Don’t get me wrong, FCP and Avid are good systems and are a good solution for some people, but your a prime candidate for a Media 100 upgrade. Plus your old Media 100 systems are worth something as a trade in. Call us if you decide to go with Media 100.

Nothing is 100% guaranteed. But, you should just be able to uninstall 8.2.1 and install 8.2.3a. The upgrade is $595 that will get you XR functionality (without the real time benefits because you do not have the HDRfx or Real-timeFX card). But your audio issues will be solved.
