[Val Mike] “but i think of it as of some kind of a sphere…,so i could rotate my camera in any dimension and direction inside it..”
That wasn’t the original question. AE doesn’t do spherical environments without third party enhancements.

[David Cooke] “ur shop hasn’t bought FCP 7, BUT 2 HUGE mistakes by Apple, at least from our region of the country. NO LIVETYPE. We use that everyday! Easy program that is
far more robust than many give it credit for. “LT’s basic function has been rolled in to Motion, for sure.
But no one has said you have to dump Livetype. I do not have my new FCS package yet but a guy ought to be able to leave Livetype intact or reinstall it using a package uncoupler like Pacifist. Maybe the FCX installer doesn’t write over LiveType, no reason for it to.bogiesan

Can’t recall that shot (altho the rest of the title sequence is burned into m memory with the text building from vertical lines, horizontals, and finally the diagonals. Very cool. Movie gave me nightmares for months.) but layering copies of starfields is easy. Just set them to pan at slightly different rates. Or set ’em up in a 3D comp.
You can use any of several particle systems to create traveling stars by applying the filter to very wide layer and just moving the emitter.

There are still a few conventions on the eastern coast where you can attend Adobe-certified instruction. Look for DV East. Does Adobe still list qualified trainers and ACEs on their site? Might check there.
I’ve been the TA for a beginning AE class in a college setting and I’ve used every available training resource on the planet. IMNSHO, your best investment is going to be Total Training and then committing the 40-60 hours it will take to slog through the program. It’s logical, clear, built with the newbie in mind yet extends to advanced techniques for power users, and the information remains timely even after the next rev comes out. you will still benefit from having the materials on your shelf.
full disclosure: I’ve been using TT’s material since Brian Maffitt had short hair. I receive no compensation from them, darn it, for endorsing their products.

Try using one of the preconfigured window layouts.
This is often a preferences issue or simply that your Inspector is off the screen.bogiesan

Most of us do not edit HDV, it is a long-GOP MPEG2. Convert your HDV to a frame dependent format such as ProRes before editing or trying to use optical flow.

Look at Canto Cumulus, too, although I’d never recommend it to anyone.
Silly as it sounds, we’re no looking at Microsoft Expressions products. Sheesh, never thought such words should pass my lips.

Set in and out points in timeline, delete render file, re-render.

Doing the math quickly, I get a difference of 18 frames between those two numbers. That is almost exactly the difference between 618 seconds at 30fps and 618 seconds at 29.97.

[Jason W. Miltt] “What are you using for this?”
Might look at the higher end storyboard applications? You should be able to use the annotation and drawing features over just about any video.
