I’m not familiar with the term, mutlisync, in After Effects. Can you elaborate.

Hiya, chuck, long time.
Since they’re not on your original media, they must be either coming out of the Macintosh or being created at the recorder. If they keep moving, they’re not on your media, which sometimes displyas clean even though it’s damaged.

might try the quicktime forum at apple.com
https://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=122Umm., I just dropped over there. Like the iTunes and iPod forums, it’s turned into a Windows-users bash fest. They just come to complain.

Just used this on another gig. Worked a charm. There is the added bonus of a 3d twist. A bit of motion blur force and vector blur made it quite believable. The secret I think lies in it how quickly you can the effect to go away.

Over the years, we’ve tried dozens of similar initiatives. The only successful one I can recall was way back in the preCow’s days of “The WWUG.” A bunch of Media 100 users each contributed 30 frames of animation to a countdown. I think we had 13 participants and about 20 different numbers. I wish you luck.

Hard to tell, can’t get the movie to play one frame at a time.
You can always try contacting the producer.
Can be created with Shatter, Ball Action and some others with Vector Blur. They don’t look like they’ve been blown up so much as heavily distorted.Hope someone will have a defiinite recipe for you.

> I was just hoping to avoid the fill the tank, shoot the tank, empty the tank, fill the tank, shoot the tank, empty the tank, fill the tank, shoot the tank, empty the tank………. =)< Actually, this is going to take much less time than trying get a simulation to look good enough to sell the effect. bogiesan This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

There really is no “never-ending question about jaggies” in After Effects. A properly configured AE project and workspace with proper settings will display vectors at continuous rasterization. This is going to end up being a simple user error, betcha. Try starting from scratch with a fresh project. Go through the online hep step by step for importing Illustrator files.
You haven’t said what happens if you turn off the raster button or whetehr you have the canvas set to full quality.

The term “realistic” could be a problem. Real neon signs do not produce volumetric glow by themselves. Only if there’s smoke or fog does the glowing tube produce a halo or atmospheric glow.
Try these threads for some pedantic ranting and links to some interesting neon signs examples:
