March 12, 2007 at 10:29 amDepends what you’re wanting, Fractal Noise can create a nice chruning cloud cover. If you turn the layer into a 3D layer and angle it right, it looks pretty good.
And lightning or advanced lightning combied with strobe can get you your strikes.

March 12, 2007 at 4:36 pmFractal Noise will work as a background element. In my humble opinion to make the storm appear more realistic you’re going to need a layer of churning cloudlike particles (i.e. using particular or some such plugin).
