Particle Playground is a waste of time and energy. No one knows how it works. the only available tutorials came with AE.
Particle World is weirly complex and there are several option screens that CC doesn’t even tell you about in the information that comes with AE.You could try TotalTraining.com and see if they have archived any of their famous Final Effects Complete material. That’s what the Cycore Effects were called originally.

CC Rain works fine for most of us.
The trick is to use three or more copies with dramatically different parameters. One or more copies must be masked by the images to carry a true illusion of 3D. Very tedious.bogiesan

Might want to post in the 3D max forum. You can also search the AE forum for the application name.
If the behavior is consistent, you can try to use an expression to link the position data to the one parameter that appears to be what you want.

That’s not a page peel or a page turn effect. You’re talking about a completely different effect now. Which one do you want?
The wedding stuff is a simple basic 3D move and the layer changes content at the 90 degree point. Not easy to do in FCP but certainly possible. Motion is more approachable for this.
Isn’t very elegant, though. Might work in emulatiing pages in a photo album but it’s way too stiff to simulate pages in books.bogiesan
