Without being able to see your machine, I’m only guessing, but it sounds like capture media is going to a folder that you do not really have access privileges for. This also happens when reference moves are created form media that goes offline.

When we bought our Intels, the only option was the 7300. We stupidly bought the “4x graphics performance” which turned out to be four of the stupid cards instead of a four-times speed improvement with a single card. Our mistake, Apple’s marketing is not transparent, we were fools and I will never let our IT purchasing guy forget this.

But, hey, I can drive 8 (count ’em, dudes, EIGHT!) Apple Cinema 30″ displays form my one machine.

Unless you have prejudices against trying to unlearn every other keyframing paradigm you’ve ever had to learn.
I like LT for lots of things and it’s fun. But tweaking the effects will tax your patience so just stick with the easy stuff.

You should also know that LiveType has terrible typography tools. If you are a stickler for kerning pairs, leading precision, and cool PS layer effects, expect to lower your expectations.

Here’s another tip: LT defaults to active drop shadows. Turn them off, it increases the performance exponentially. Put your shadows into your show in your editor.

    (warning: joke post, joke post)

I have Bridge open, I do not see this “Very Hard Work” as a preset. Too bad, this could save a lot of people having to learn how to use After Effects.

The quality of text in AE is set by a long list of factors including rendering and preview quality, canvas quality, font source, and text creation methods.

Most beginners try to scale text instead of changing the glyph size. That’s what it looks like you have tried to do but you have not offered much information.

These are conventions left over form the olden days of hand-drawn animation. I’d start at your local library to find some books on film animation.

You can google STRETCH AND SQUASH, OVERSHOOT, and REBOUND for information about animation that may lead you to other resources.

I’ve done a lot of stop action and cel-based animation, I know of no magic formulae for eases, you just sort of develop a feel for it.
“Natural” motion is not natural at all. It is influenced by chaotic external forces and the appearance of motion depends all upon one’s point of view. What has evolved over one hundred years of animation is a set of conventions. suggestions that an audience will perceive, or at least accept, as natural movement.

Putting the subject in the subject line will generate many more hits.
However, posting the same topic again won’t necessarily get you any more attention if no one knows what to suggest beyond trashing the preferences file.

First time I’ve ever seen “new camera does not work” mentioned as a problem with AE.
