We see this issue about three times a year. There are many different approaches. Which you use depends on yor need for quality and your expertise in AE. Easier and cheaper to have someone reshoot it, though.
I use the color Stabilizer filter in AE. I have brought 30fps material into a 90fps comp to make every frame last for three frames. This allows you to do some tweaking to the filter.
You might then take this rendered output, speed it up 3x, and lay it over your original using any of several blend modes.bogiesan

The only thing I’ve see that causes a crash is too many items in a folder. I thought OS10 could handle a near infinite number, OS9 used to only be able to handle like 2,000 items.
Rather than move the contents into separate folders, I’d duplicate the folder three times (it’s fairly small) and carefully delete 90% of one, 75% of another, 50% of a third and try each one.

Has this ever worked for you?
What deck?
How is it connected, via Firewire, USB, or a proprietary card?
Do you understand how it’s supposed to work after reading the section on how to set it up in the manual?bogiesan

[Richard Haddad] “Our next step will be to reload FCP onto the machine if necessary, but I would love to solve this mystery if anyone has seen this happen before.
“Probably not a solution. Reloading FCP rarely cures anything but you can always trash your most recent QT receipts and force those updates to reload form apple’s software update system.
You’ve got to figure out if the rendered QT file is the problem or if it’s the machine or the display on the machine. If it’s the QT file itself, an up and down, one-pixel shake should be visible as a field problem if you show your canvas at 800%.

You want to contact the stadium and ask to talk to their graphics specialist, the guy who runs the digital signage systems. Then you want to talk to the manufacturer of the device or visit their website. They will have all the advice you need. I doubt you really need to work in a canvas that size. The input for the device will have a sequencer or scalar or its own composition software that converts movies. It will probably have a library of preset animations, too.
You can research the digital sign industry in google, which should take you immediately to trade organizations. It is a specialized field. we see digital signage posts often and they rarely go anywhere. So please return and let us know how you made out.

Is this AE guy on a PC?
I reduce all such confusion by using only the Animation codec when handing off video to coworkers whose skills or knowledge I do not know or trust.
The size of the files can be an issue but this pointless quibble is always negligible compared to the total elimination of all likely file interchange problems.

Determine what video file format and codec your Web designer wants from you.
Chances are you are going to create an Animation file (more or less standard for transparency and easy to transport between platforms) and then the Webhead will convert and scale it to a specific file type to run on her server. What you want to know is the size of the box you are filling and how long the clip needs to be and if it needs to loop seamlessly.
Get those specifications first and post back.
