    After FX can’t open QT

    Hello,

    I’m exporting QTs out of Final Cut for After FX work. I did File Export QT, current settings.

    My quicktimes are 1280 by 720, DVCPRO HD 720p60.

    My After FX guy says he can’t open my quicktimes on his computer, that they will only open on computers with FCP installed.

    I’m not very familiar with After FX, can it not read the DVCPro Codec? Is there a better way I could be exporting these quicktimes?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Is this AE guy on a PC?

    I reduce all such confusion by using only the Animation codec when handing off video to coworkers whose skills or knowledge I do not know or trust.

    The size of the files can be an issue but this pointless quibble is always negligible compared to the total elimination of all likely file interchange problems.
