Select the clip in the timeline and use the link unlink feature. This is under the audio menu and there is a keyboard shortcut.
2. Turn on the levels in the timeline. LOWER LEFT CORNER OF THE TIMELINE Window, to be able to rubber band in the timeline after selecting the pen tool.

I might think about the K3. The K2 is an amazing product, this is why I think I’d go K3. This said AJA is amazing about replacing cards, but it sounds like their might be a problem with the PCI bus.
Would that bus fry any other card?
What else is in the BOX?
Could the Graphics card and the SATA card be heating thigs up to much?
Is the machine well vented far enough away from the wall to promote airflow?
Is the room hot?
Is the machine on a regulated power source with surge supression?Just covering the bases, since there are variables to consider.

Capture all via firewire with a 1200A or 1400A deck in Native 720P HD resolution
Edit with Varicam easy setupDrop final sequence into a DVCPRO 50 sequence and render for all SD finishes.
It’s about that simple.

Check to see that you playback ofset has been reset to zero. it was probably set the 4 with the upgrade which is the FCP default because most people use the software with firewire DV.

Look for something round. If it looks like an egg, it’s anamorphic. If people look way to tall and skiny, then it’s anamorphic. Why not capture a clip and swith the anamorphic on and off to compare.

My advice is to download the feature sheet for each product and compare the features. WHy would you post into a KONA forum and ask which one is better. Most people in this forum have made their product choices already. If you post this in the decklink forum they will say decklink here they will say AJA.
Go the respective websites and do your homework.
I will state that AJA support is unbelievable. I am very happy with the Kona2 that I own. I would not consider switching if I had to make another purchase.
