Try running an easy setup to match to the video you have imported.

If not you have to create AV settings with the correct codec and playback device set.

This is usually a set up problem. You have to tell FCP what typefootage you want it to play back.

Use Reconnect media and point to the Quicktime files on the hard drive.

Try to use a compressor on your audio.

Most commercials are mixed and have a lot of compression on them. (they are aloways louder than the program.

Final cut pro has an audio compressor built in. IF you use it in conjunction with a LIMITER, This allows you to boost the low part of the sound but keep the peaks the same.

First try this.

delete any sequence you have int eh browser.

Go to the file menu and choose easy setup and pick the appropriate PAL anamorphic dv setup.

Create a new sequence.

Edit away.

That is the kind of deep thinking I am talking about and it is because Marco comes from a production environment and build it to work.

The thing that amazes me is that every time I have a “yeah but” question, it’s answered. And it’s notsome kind of BS answer, it often is better or more than what you wanted.

I just want to be able to get my FCP timesline to encode directly to flash. That would make it all complete.

I 100% agree with you. Media batch is a GAME CHANGER. It’s not FTp. It’s an incredibly easy to use powerful tool using any browser.

Every one of my many clients who have had the pleasure of interacting with media batch have gone out of their way to describe how easy an experience it is. We are using it in many tradtional and new ways. I can say it is MORE than I thought it was going to be.

It’s about the most professional “out of the box” initial software release I have every seen.

You really have to use it to understand how deep it is. There are always people who might say well, why would I use that if I have FTP? But it’s like the difference between a MAC and PC, sheer elegance.

Hey Bob,

ATTO has released their drivers for Leopard (they probably write the aplle drivers for them too).

Now I just need every one of my other 27 applications to be compatible and things will be great!

Any word on whether K2 will ever work with Leopard?

Possible solutions:

1. Watch capture on an external monitor.
2. Change playback offset in user of system settings from 4 to 0

Without knowing your config it’s hard to answer this question. Generally, while capturing with FCP there is a delay on the monitor,but it has ben this way since day one.
