    I have filmed my doco in 16:9 on a dv cam. i captured the footage correctly as dv pal anamorphic. the captured quicktime files, when opened in quicktime are 16:9. i am now trying to put the quicktime files into final cut, but it stretches them to 4:3. i have been playing with preferences etc. for about an hour now and cant seem to figure out how to fix it. im getting rather frustrated!

    can any body help?

    First try this.

    delete any sequence you have int eh browser.

    Go to the file menu and choose easy setup and pick the appropriate PAL anamorphic dv setup.

    Create a new sequence.

    Edit away.

    I figured it out! haha. just a stupid computer issue…all good now
