Only Color had nodes and it’s suffering the same fate.
Maybe nodes are bad luck at Apple.

The Anamorphic flares in shake ruled.

August 9, 2011 at 5:01 pm in reply to: Importing Not Complete – Clip Preview not workingSo you expect that the transcoding is going to magically happen when the application is not running?
Did you try sprinkling some fairy dust on that too?
🙂
Seriously. An application needs to be “open” in order to “work”.David.

For a non pro this looks like it was written by adobe or avid.
Cinema aspect ratios?
I know tons of non pros who demand that one. Some stuff is so obvious.

Flicker is nice.

I always thought that the flares that were available for shake were the best ones I have seen.
I can send you the Shake ones if you want to see them.

I have seen this too.
The fix for me was to retype the last word while parked on a frame near the end to see that the effect is “taking”. It has something to do with spaces or the return key. I have not isolated that yet.
Type into the inspector window and not on the viewer window.

I’d submit this to Apple. It sounds like they have done the classic, “ignore 25P for now because that is not what we use in the US” move.
This is a feature that should work correctly.

Is the timeline 25P as well?
Or is the timeline 23.98.
If you expand the waveforms and look at it do the waveforms go out of sync as well?

I would try trashing the FCPX preference files.
If you are on osx lion they are hidden and you will have to get a utility to see hidden files.
Start with trashing prefs as that timeline behavior sounds pretty erratic.
