    Daniel,
I always copy and paste the clip because the clip is only 16 seconds in duration. It has to play out over a live broadcast [newscast]. In the encore program I get a black clip every time the loop starts over…….. so, on the air that would be a black clip playing out on the screen [in the background] every 16 seconds. So I just make the loop longer than the broadcast so there’s no chance of a black clip being seen over the air. I didn’t have this problem in DVD Studio Pro–the black clip problem.

As a workaround I imported the :16 clip into Adobe Premiere and duplicated it in the sequence timeline for 30 min. I then opened that sequence in Adobe media encoder and encoded it as a H.264 Blu-ray asset for use in encore. Now I can add the clip to encore and easily loop it up to 4 hours or whatever length I need to avoid the black frame going over the air. This may not be the best way to do it but I only started working out this workflow 2 days ago so I have a lot of experimenting to do. Does anyone know why I get the black clip when the loop in encore starts over?
    Thanks,
    Dave

    Thanks a million,

I have a question regarding this subject matter. I’m trying to do the same thing and I have followed the directions in this thread and the loop works except for one thing, I get a black frame every time the loop starts over at the beginning. Is there a way to get rid of this?

    Thanks a million,

How does it work with ioHD? I thought it was for a Kona card?

    Thanks a million,

[gary adcock] “You would be able to use AJA’s VTR exchange to record into or playback from the IoHD.”

Do you mean use AJA’s VTR exchange to playback or record from the AJA io from CS5.5?

You have to render the audio file as a separate file from the 32bit targa seq………..make sure it has the exact same number of frames as the targa sequenÅ“……..the Duet op will marry the two files together.

OK, I’ve figured it out………..simply expand the particle growth fields, widen the x and y growth parameters under the Producer switch………. and bump up the birth rate.

I have a 3d scene in which a camera is the child of a null object . The null has a separate xyz expression applied to it. The Null controls the camera.

In the scene I have a solid with CC Particle World applied to it.

When I move the Null on the x or y axis, the particles move out of frame. I want the particles to remain in front of the camera at all times.
    I hope this explains……….
