    Hi Floh,

Everything is identical in List view bin mode except for some reason under tracks there is two A1 and A2 tracks on the clips that don’t work. I tried disabling these tracks in track mapping but that didn’t do it. I am now exporting the clips into another folder then re importing them. This seems to be working so far.

    Thanks for your help.

I should clarify, I am using Media 100 Suite 2.0.1. The timeline is set for HD 1080i 29.97 fps, 48.000 Hz.
I tried starting a new project and re importing them 1 at a time which was working until this morning and now some clips come in with the A1 A2 A1 A2 HD icon again . These will not go on the timeline.
Deadline is fast approaching I could use a quick fix if anyone has any ideas.

    Many Thanks.

    Hi Floh,

“Import into selected format and codec” did the trick. Since I have been away from Media 100 since Version 8, with the vincent card on a G 4, I am amazed at the amount of choices one has for standards and Codecs etc. I have a bit of a learning curve ahead of me but usually I can make things work. Are there any tutorials out there that deal with the basic set ups and choosing what standards and codecs one should work in? I suppose it depends on what the final product is but I feel I could use a bit of a refresher on the options.

    Thanks Again for your help.

July 28, 2011 at 1:12 pm in reply to: Media 100 Crash at launch

    Hello,

I ended up re-installing snow Leopard, updating to the 10.6.7 combo and everything seems fine again. If I have to get any updates for other software or new drivers, I will make a list of what I have done and check Media 100 after each update. Thanks everyone for your help and thanks also to Matt from Media 100 who was monitoring the forum and took the time to call me at work. Great customer service. It’s good to be back with M100.

    cheers

    Hi Floh,
It’s been a while, Great to see you are still helping out at Creative Cow. When I launch M100 the progress bar gets about half way across (about 4 seconds) then it crashes and I get the Problem Report.
I am sticking with 10.6.7 because I had read about the issue with 10.6.8.
Here is the first part of the very lengthy report in case this helps:

I tried holding shift, and I actually did a reinstall of M100 but no luck so far.

I like that idea. We have an office in Montreal so I’ll see if they can do all the graphics up as word docs.

    Thanks

Hi Dave, Thanks for taking the time to respond. I actually downloaded a trial version of Flash CS4 and will tinker a bit with it as time permits. So far I think you’re right as far as it being limited as to how much video you could create that I couldn’t already do with AE [Not to mention the learning curve to get good at it!]

We also have been very happy with ON2, the video looks pretty darn good considering the very reasonable file sizes.

    Thanks Again
