If it plays fine in Windows Media Player but poor after uploading to YouTube, I’m not sure there’s much you could do since it is how YouTube compresses it. Is there lots of panning in your video?
That’s why I use Vimeo instead of YouTube.

AMD graphics cards work perfectly fine with Intel processors. I run a Radeon HD7850 with my Intel Ivy Bridge processor and my system runs like a McLaren MP4-12C.

Definitely take a look at what Steve has said. I am thinking the same thing, that Windows is set to use another audio device for recording instead of the sound card you have. There should be a drop down under ‘Devices’ on the Record tab, and make sure your preferred sound card is selected.

What type of help are you looking for? You want a smaller final file size? Rendering doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll end up with a smaller file. You are usually just changing from one type of file to another (along with other changes).
What type of file is the original? What do you want as a final? Don’t expect to get a 40% smaller file size just because your final render is a lower resolution.

You are 100% correct, Steve! They also buy the components from the same low-ball manufacturers as well (cheap power supplies, for example).
It is ALWAYS best to build your own!

Check the Event Viewer. It’ll give detailed info as to what is causing the BSOD. It probably is hardware related. Overheating CPU, faulty power supply, etc.

You know of others that have the same CPU and are getting much faster render times? I’m surprised because of all the CPU tests/reviews I have read, the AMD processor performs quite poorly, getting easily bested by i5 and i7 Ivy Bridge processors.
Is there a way you can have the other AMD users you speak of try rendering your files, as a test?

I don’t think it’s a RAM issue. You’d have to have TONS of events in your project to cause a RAM issue. 8 gigs should suffice for most people.Do you know how to open the Windows System Configuration window? In the Windows ‘Run’ box type: msconfig
When the System Configuration window opens, click the ‘Startup’ tab. If you have many items with checkmarks, these programs are using system resources upon system start-up. UNCHECK them all EXCEPT your anti-virus software. Then reboot.Load up your current project and see if the lag disappears.

Check the Windows Event Viewer for info on what caused the crash. When a system starts slowing down it is usually due to a lack of available system resources or RAM (I don’t think it’s a RAM issue here). Go into System Configuration and shut off everything except antivirus software (I’ve posted how to do that many times here).
There’s also a chance it is due to heat inside the computer. Open it up and blow the dust out. Make sure all fans are working.
