I followed that step by step and didn’t get any results. Do I have to turn on mix textures or anything like that? Do shaders work as well? I was using shaders.

    Thanks a lot!

Well now I have lost my sound….I wished I would have stayed with AE. Next time it is AE. Apple needs to put Motion back into beta. It’s buggy software at best. Anyone wanting to know, Adobe After Effects is proven and Motion is experimental. Don’t use it unless you are working on something you don’t care about.

It keeps rendering in slow motion. Do you know what would cause that?

I am rendering is the lowest draft mode possible just to check sound and it says it will take an hour and 36 minutes for three minutes of the 38 minute video. Does this sound right?

Thank you. I am fairly new to motion so it is rewarding and frustrating. Are you saying render the movie in short segments and then assemble in FCP or AE?

It was shot is HD. I can make it whatever I want in Motion. I can choose DVNTSC which is what I am thinking I will do. I have a lot of special effects so the render is a killer. I am wondering if taking the footage and compressing it down to DVNTSC will make things a lot better in terms of rendering speed and will be suitable for burning a DVD?

    Thanks for all your help!

    Thanks Steve,

I have a question??? Can I reduce my HD down to SD 720 X 480 and get good results? The HD is killing my render times.

It’s native codec? What is that?

There is a under water effects filter in Motion that you could tweak and get a nice waving flag!

Oh I had a major discovery on how to do this. The spline wrap tool as part of C4d’s Mograph would do this is a heartbeat. It is amazing!
