With the proviso that 2.0.2 is still in beta, there are no user file revision changes in it. By that, I mean that you can take projects/bins/programs/media back and forth between 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 without any problems. I don’t work on RED but I think this applies to the versions of RED5 also.
Well, there was 1.5, and 1.6, and 1.7 along the way. Even assuming it was theoretically possible, what software company is willing to go back that many releases for a bug fix?
We had a report like this but I think the user was unable to reproduce it. Check the menu bar. It is possible to close all of RED’s windows but not exit RED itself, so it looks like Media 100 Suite is stuck. Or try trashing your RED preferences.
We have a 2.0.2 update in beta now which has more RED fixes.
That’s a relief!
What happens if you export the entire program?
Can you isolate the failure to a specific segment of the range? In other words, maybe there is a bad section of the program that would fail no matter how short the range.
Maybe the AudioFX window was moved off of your main monitor? You can sometimes get into that kind of trouble if you install the AJA driver that makes the AJA hardware look like an extra Mac display. Try turning off the “remember window positions” pref, or trash your Media 100 prefs.
