December 22, 2006 at 3:33 am in reply to: Stairstepping on Scaled Graphics (Both FCP and Motion)Thanks for the replies Jeremy. I did find the “best” rendering of motion effects and I’ll leave it on that setting from now on…is there any reason I wouldn’t want to?
Also, I’ve cycled through item properties alpha (straight versus black) and I find black makes type look much better but doesn’t seem to make too much difference on regular graphics. If I’m missing something here please let me know.
Why is it that the alpha channels don’t default to black with graphics coming out of Livetype or Motion do you think? I always have to change it?
Thanks again for your reply…

Sounds like you’re making a good honest assessment. I understand if FCP and Motion can’t perform like AE (as far as quality goes but it is much faster)..it’s just that so many people have said “Hey FCP and Motion can do everything AE does”…I had to try it to see.
Apparently AE won’t be going away any time soon…thanks again!

December 22, 2006 at 2:01 am in reply to: Stairstepping on Scaled Graphics (Both FCP and Motion)I’ve tried .psd , .pct and .tga They have not been scaled past 100% but the psd was originally 1200 x 600. I eventually fit the image to 720 x 486…
Thanks….

Yes, I’m looking at a Sony Broadcast Monitor (Component). Also, I have a lot of experience doing graphics in AE.
Thanks for the reply…
