In Raid 5 I got well over 600 read and well over 700 write with AJA. It did “ramp up and ramp down” at the beginning and end which I’m not sure if that’s normal or not….

I actually just received mine…install was a snap (had to reload the areca card driver), 8 TB, raid 5, fast as Hell.

Put one tb of data on the raid and then pulled out a drive (beep beep beep)…inserted a new drive and it rebuilt in 6 hrs…all data was perfect.

So far very happy….and the price is unbelievable!!!!

Did you find out more about this company/solution? They make it seem pretty good…I’d buy if I thought it was a decent product….

I’ve definitely done all that…tried several codecs, from the timeline and from seperate QT.

Guess what actually worked? (And this was making a wmv with Flip4mac)

    Size! Changed from 320 x 240 to 480 x 360 and BAM…everything worked great!

    Who Knows?

I’m having the exact same problem….seems to be one rogue file from fcp or a qt reference of it. Must keep force quitting for it to go away…

Lots of time wasted this weekend…

    Thanks Michael

Would it be safe to say that you’ve actually done it?

The idea is to record seminars straight to hard disc and bypass the cards altogether…any issues do you think I should look at?

    Thanks All!

All great suggestions. Since I have 300 clips I’ll probably use the 3 way CC. There is a little saturation in the white…Gary – could you share how to knock that out as referenced in your answer?

    Thanks again guys!
