How about the AVID dnx codec which Apple wrote ProRes to compete with?

    Ahhhh…thanks for that!

    It’s 30P over 60 (59.94). Still won’t import though.

My work around is to import through 5.1 and then bring those files into 6.02. But I’d love to figure out the reason why it just goes IDLE…

    Thanks Jeremy….

    Hi Jeremy

Sorry…what is the difference between 30PN or 30p over 60?

I’ve definitely tried reimporting several times.

    Thanks for Replying Shane

That’s not the issue, however, I found out that deleting anything in the field can be dangerous! 😎

FCP is trying the import but after the little ball spins for a while…it just says “IDLE”. Import is perfect in 5.1 though.

BTW-thanks for all your work on the FXfactory issue…saved me A LOT of frusteration!

    Thanks Jeremy

I’m sorry…I didn’t realize the HVX had component out? (First time I’ve used it).

If I didn’t have an awesome monitor like you 😎 but I did have fcp and an IO….could you suggest a good workflow for a simple green screen shoot?

    Thanks so much…

I hope this isn’t a dumb question but…is it possible to monitor composite out of the HVX 200 into Final Cut (with an IO HD)and use the waveform/vector in there?

Advisable on a green screen shoot?

If you really need the dnx to be in ProRes…my system outlined above really does work well…not TOO painful! 😎

the avid codecs are in library/quicktime folder…pull them out when you want to use the IO HD…
