The source file is a ecamm call recorder Quicktime file. I’d like to use it just as I would any other file in FCP 7.

There are a lot of settings, including a bunch for Quicktime and a bunch for advanced format conversions.

I was able to convert it to Apple TV. That played fine in Quicktime and VLC but when I imported it to FCP7 It was the wrong aspect ratio and the sound had Donal Duck quacking underneath the interview.

That worked. Thank you. Of course I now realize I have no idea how to output something on Compressor.

I used iSkysoft Video Converter, which will work if i want to pay $35 for the full version. Ecamm, which makes Call Recorder, suggests using Compressor. When I tried that I got “One or more jobs do not have a source media file assigned.”

    Convert the file?

Thanks. I’ve never used Compressor, but it sounds like what I’d want to produce smaller files.

Time Code generator starts the timecode over with each clip and I can’t seem to do more than one clip at a time.

That gave me the time code of where the piece I took is in the clip, not where it is in my movie. I want my timecode on there.
