I’m making a fundraising trailer to show what I’ve been doing with my documentary. It doesn’t need to be super high quality and I do need to be able to upload it on youtube. Unfortunately I’m a Final Cut Pro novice, so I don’t know how to change the codec, frame size, or data rate when exporting. Compressor is something I’ve never used. I’m using Final Cut version 6.0.5 and version 7.5.5 of Quicktime Pro.

Raylight works. Thank you. But I can’t seem to view the Quick times unless the hard drive with the P2s is attached.

None of my footage is left on a P2 card, so i can’t use Raylight. This problem isn’t limited to a few files. It occurs with all 68 cards we’ve shot over the last nine months. Earlier in the year it didn’t happen when I had an editor make a trailer. I have a lot of Quick Times files from then. Since she’d charge me to convert the files from P2 to Quick Time I need to do it myself on my Final Cut Pro. From what I’m getting here I’m guessing that my Final Cut Pro preferences are corrupted.

We don’t erase. It happens with every clip, regardless of size. It can be 3 seconds or 12 minutes. It happens with spanned clips and clips that aren’t spanned.
