Hi Jeremy, all the save setting are off including peak limit. The whites look good if it fills part of the screen but if you put full white on the screen it’s shows a grey. Hard to edit a spot that is shot in a white cove and the client keeps asking why the white is grey.

Hi Rick, I tried the XBR9 and it is great with the whites but you can see vignetting on the left and right edges, but it’s better then grey whites.

I called Panasonic and the said it was the best you can expect. I find that hard to believe, My TH-42PX75U which is three years old looks better than this.

WOW those tutorials are awful! If you judged Smoke by those tutorials I wouldn’t by it.

I have had the same problem, I think it’s because of the MPEG recording used by the EX cameras. It’s a little better in FCP 7.

A good monitor. Focus is critical with the Letus so we have a 17inch Panasonic that is great on location.

I took a uncompressed HD national spot shot on film and re-compressed it to Prores HQ and then did a split screen for our Kona Lhe in FCP. I couldn’t see any difference to my eye. Not very scientific, but I was amazed to not see a difference.
