What’s the charging time?
What is the software you are referring to? Is it a firmware update for the unit?
Beware of using it with the Panasonic GH2. It adds a buzz to the audio recorded in the camera. I think it’s a problem with the GH2.

I agree, I used Media 100 for several years and went to look at what was new. I looked at the tutorials and it look just like it did years ago. I’m sure their have been lots of advances but the A-B track thing is way to limited and I don’t want to go into Boris to fly in text. But for a basic cuts, dissolves and fade in text it’s a good option.

My favorite feature, it can open FCP projects. To bad X can’t.

I think there will be a lot of these discoveries. Didn’t know about the (without having sufficient handles you only get the option to cancel or use full overlap) BUMMER!

Buy Ripple Trainings FCP X series. It explains alot of this things that are odd. It is a simple change in the Preferences. Apply transition using Available media works like FCP 7

I added a 5770 to my 2008 MacPro and it seems to be fine. I tried this a couple months ago and had issues with FCP 7 and Multicam. It seems to be fine now with both 7 & X now that I’m on 10.6.7
