  • Hyperdeck Shuttle used as an HDMI to HDSDI converter?

Is this doable? If anyone has experience with this I’d be interested in hearing their experience. Also, if one is using the internal battery, how long can one expect it to work in this capacity? Does it need an SSD to function as a converter? I’d be interested in using it in the field with a DSLR and a pro SDI field monitor.
    Thanks

    Hi,

Yes, you can use it this way. Just make sure you’re running the latest software update available on our website.

You should be getting slightly more than 2 hours of runtime when just doing conversion.

    What’s the charging time?
What is the software you are referring to? Is it a firmware update for the unit?
Beware of using it with the Panasonic GH2. It adds a buzz to the audio recorded in the camera. I think it’s a problem with the GH2.

Yes, that’s correct. You can download it from the Support section of our website.
