I just did a side by side of your video as I received my Retina MPB today. The image is a little more crushed on the Retina but it look a lot better than my 2008 MBP which the image looked washed out like the blacks were raised. There was more detail in the shot of the bowls on the table.

Pasted from an earlier reply. You need FCPx extra codecs and XDCAM Browser 2.0

You go to the Clip menu and select import into FCP. It does create a XLM file but if you select the .mov it imports into FCP X 10.0.3 just fine. My understanding is that the XDCAM Transfer is not going to be updated (EOL) and that the XDCAM Browser is the replacement.

I did this yesterday with the XDCAM Browser 2.0 You go to the Clip menu and select import into FCP. It does create a XLM file but if you select the .mov it imports into FCP X 10.0.3 just fine. You want to use the XDCAM Browser 2.0.
As Lance said, you need to set a folder for the software to rewrap the files to and then import the files into FCPX manually.

Thanks Tom, I tried my Lhe in two more computers. A 2.26 – 8 core (Early 2009) and a 2.8 – 4 core (Early 2010) and it didn’t work in any of them! Must be a problem with my card.

10.6.8 on both machines. Yes, uninstalled with each of the AJA driver versions I tested.
The 2.66 has a clean install of 10.6.8 and the only thing installed was FCP 7.03, Motion & DVDSP.

Thanks for the reply. It’s in slot 2 which is where AJA recommends and the same as the 2.8 computer. I tried slot 3 (4x) and the computer won’t boot.
