You referenced the events folder which sounds like a very old version. VO’s normally record to the original media folder.Dajen Productions, Santa Barbara, CA

Add a color mask, pick the color to change. Then go to the pucks and use the vector scope to match the color. Not a simple as an eye dropper but…

Before you try that maybe you should bring the HDV footage into FCPx first and see how it plays. I used NTSC, PAL, multiple sizes and frame rates all in the same timeline and when render everything played fine.

August 26, 2016 at 5:57 am in reply to: Maybe this is why it’s taking so long for a significant update…It’s because the FCP team is working on the video Snapchat style project as stated in the article.
Despite the fun nature of the app, Apple is said to be bringing some serious video editing experience to the project, employing the same development team responsible for Final Cut Pro, and hiring the former president of a video production company to lead the project.

I beta tested El Cap and I’m not going into all the problems I’ve had but there have been MANY!!!!
I haven’t tested FCP X because I don’t edit on this laptop.
I did a clean install which fixed a couple of the problem but created others.I WILL STAY AWAY UNTIL ANOTHER 1 or 2 UPDATES COME OUT.
WORST OS X UPDATE EVER!!!! And it was supposed to be a clean up job.

I believe these are correct. I haven’t dealt with any SD footage in a while.
HD is upper field first
DV (PAL or NTSC) is lower field first
standard definition D1 PAL is upper field first
standard definition D1 NTSC is usually (but not always) lower field first
