Color Finale issues
Anyone of late having slight glitches with Color Finale?
I have the latest FCPX/Color Finale El Cap on nMP D700.
One glitch that bugs me is during playback the first frame shows no effect then jumps into the effect.
The good thing is that its not affected at render (I hope).
The other glitch, at times the “open” button won’t respond.
And opening FCPX from the Color Finale app doesnt seem to work.
Again these issues are sporadic.
And as usuall these issues I have with FCPX mostly start when using DSLR footage.
I rarely get glitches when working with RED files.
Go figure 😛

I’ve had the first Frame having no effect issue and in my case it did carry through to the render so check carefully if it’s happening to you. Having said that, it hasn’t happened since the latest Color Finale update.

This was a bug that was supposed to have been fixed with the latest update.
If the LUT hadn’t been loaded from the timeline, it would take a frame to load and not render. Once the LUTS have been loaded, it should not happen again in that session.
The work around was to add small clips with every LUT used at the beginning of the Project and play them back so that all LUTS would load.
I haven’t seen the problem since the update, and if it’s still happening, I would reinstall CF.

I get this pop-up error once the clip loads on memory (with Color Finale).
I forgot the error but its basically saying a bad lut blah blah blah.
I have a screen shot at home I will send it to Denver tonight.
I love the plug-in and it gets me out of having to use Resolve.
You get clients that want Resolve but wont pay so cue Color Finale 😉 -

Oh yeah, the one that says “Bad Line” or something? It doesn’t seem to effect performance for me, but I do get it occasionally.
I would be curious to hear what support has to say.

I’m having the same problem with error message popping up that talks about the Bad Lut thing.
