Hey, Roli! Thanks for the reply. The tiny file size was because I was just marking a very small In/Out point to test the output, but I shall muck with the bit rate. Thanks again!

I had this same issue, but when I exported the video it was all synced up. Have you tried that? (It’s not a fix, to be sure, but it was enlightening to me to see that the problem wasn’t “real” in the sense that the output was still correct.)

Well, I was having the opposite problem–the mask was remaining static when I needed it to animate with the clip it was masking–but I figured out how to do it by using a shape as the mask. Thanks, man! I really appreciate that you take the time to answer questions.

FWIW, I masked it with an oval shape (that matches the shape of the object I’m trying to make the video clip fit to) and then tried doing a match move on the shape (using the video clip as the source.) Bad things happen. The shape disappears when I turn on the match move. Weird.

Hey Stephen, since this is related, I’m going to keep it in the same thread.

Are image masks independent of camera animation? I’ve masked a clip to fit on a shape, but when the camera moves, the mask remains at the same point on the screen. (Essentially moving “with” the camera instead of staying over the clip it’s masking.)

    Any way to fix this?

    Thanks in advance!
