    Ok, something like….

Use Photoshop or similair to create the red dotted line route.

    Got to after fx

Import red dotted line as layer and drop into your comp

Open your plane layer.Drop into the comp. Right click, then select TRANFORM from the pop up menu. Look for orient along path.select it

On your plane layer use MOTION SKECTH to draw desired path (use your red layer as a guide.

draw a mask over the red route layer. use mask transform tool to edit shape to reveal the path as the animation progresses.

    Tha should do it.

Sorry if its a bit clunky. mail me if you need any more info.

July 20, 2008 at 6:13 pm in reply to: Demon in The Mirror Tuturial, where?

    Hi,

Well I guess you need 2 tutes for this effect..

    1 the demon warp

    2 the cloning effect

Go to Video Copilot and check the tutes look for the demon face tute (number 50 or so I think) It will give you all you need for the 1st effect

Then go to you tube and search clone in `after effect` there are stacks out there. That should be enought for all you need..

Let us know how you get on, be nice to see the finished article..

    Good luck

It may be something as simple as you have not moved the pivot point to the bottom of the card. Thus when you rotate it at present the `card` will rotate from the middle of the card layer….

Sometimes buddy, CGI is harder than doing the effect in real life. Have you considered stage blood? or hitting your talent to accomplish the shot?

May 7, 2008 at 12:37 pm in reply to: Action Movie Essential Programs

Action movie essentials is a great product from videocopilot.net

It is not a program but a collection of pre-matted/keyed clips to use in your own projects (usually with After Effects)

The cost of Action Movie Essentials is not expensive esp. considering the quality of the footage they supply.

I think perhaps the original poster is at crossed purposes.
