I installed the latest driver and firmware before I installed Resolve 10, and the same thing happened to me. Resolve does not recognize my Red Rocket in System Overview, although I do think that it’s making use of it in some way, because the footage plays back in the timeline at 14fps, and without the RR card, it won’t play at all.

In RedCine-X Pro and Final Cut Pro X the footage will play at 1:1 but in Resolve it won’t.

I’m getting this error right now when trying to open an XML I exported from Resolve 9.0.3.009 into FCP X 10.0.6. Does anyone have an idea about what’s causing it? I’ve included a screen shot of the error. Thanks in advance for any assistance…

December 28, 2011 at 3:21 am in reply to: how to fit resolve to a 15inch mac book pro screen?

I don’t mean to sound like a jerk, but I’m really struggling to accept these non-solutions (such as reverting to an older OS, although it’s granted that Lion is also lacking in many areas) to what I consider to be a design oversight. I would have expected to read something like, “We are working on a solution to this issue,” not, “sorry, the extra 150px means you’re out of luck.” One of the best features about the new Resolve is the fact that it runs on MBP… except for the vast majority of the new ones. Is there really no solution for this other than toting an external monitor around with me everywhere I go?

One possible workaround is to set your TC to free run and just use the record button on the Ki Pro Mini. I know that’s a hassle; is it worth saving the hours on your camera’s deck?

Heck, I could even do without spanning if the unit could automatically rollover to the next card while closing the file on the first.

So… (I’m sorry if this sounds dumb, but) If the KPM has to close the file before you can switch card slots, what’s the point of having two card slots anyway?
