I had to drop $1,000 for another 3D to hold me over, I was hoping the Express would have been out by now too. B&H says August 30th (but it also said July, and June at some point…)

The 2hour sequence is not yet rendered (it is mix of many different sized clips). Does it still make sense to render it to sequence setting, and then convert in compressor? Will that double the rendering time?
This is not a “normal” edit, its a collection of many small clips form many sources that have been “thrown together” so they can be recorded to the deck, to be ingested into an EVS in the morning.

Thank you. Our editor knows FCP well, but like you say it’s knowing the whole process.
So he will export the entire sequence with “quicktime conversion” to a 720p60 clip.
We will play that back out of FCP7 on the laptop, and hit record on the deck. -

Here is an updated list. I actually ordered the VX7e as it did everything I wanted, had the Sony battery power and the price was right.

I read somewhere that the TVLogic and DP6 share the same LCD, it was on the internet so it must be true…
The ability to convert HDMI to SDI makes me lean toward the TV Logic. I compared the Swit S-1071F (aka JVC DT-X71F ), SmallHD DP6, IkanVX7e, TVLogic VFM-056WP, Atomos Samurai for my needs over here: https://www.digitalbuilt.com/?p=169 -
