No, all assets are on the same drive.
Am rendering in chunks now,—few minutes at a time.
Latest section was 1:56 long, and it stopped rendering at 80%.
    Remove the offending photo,—start again.
So far the photos interfering with render are ones given to me for insertion on a CD ysterday,—later additions.
    They are tifs.
    Any thoughts?

    Really getting wierd now.
Photo after the one where render stopped does not even show on preview when cursor passes over it.
As though it is not there!

    at 4:48 on timeline,—is a photo.
When opened in pac/crop this photo is grey-out.
I have run across a number of these.
    Tha a clue?

Render stopped again,—this time at 47 secons.
    Message says;
“System low on memory. You may have to reduce memory usage by closing other applications”
But don’t have any other apps open.

    Hey Chris,

Maximum dynamic ram is 550 MB under options/preferences/video.
    You suggest 16 MB?
Must be looking in the wrong spot

    Never mind.
Solution is to import dvd same way as mini disc cam mpeg2.
Image quality still marignal but at least Vegas functions more quickly.
