Did the cut and paste thing as suggested.
    From Vegas 11 to 10.
Had to rebuild all the track FX as you warned.
Also last week downloaded Beta driver for video card.
That may have been the issue as test renders to both .avi and mpeg2 went OK.
Still not fully confident in 11 though.
In recent project an event appeared where is wasn’t supposed to be sans audio.
Also there were small gaps between events that I had to manually close.
I will stay with Vegas Pro 10 for now.
    Once bitten,….
Using Vegas since Sonic Foundry days, anbody jumping to something else. FCPX, Avid, Premier Pro?
Is it just me or are others growing increasingly insecure with this NLE?

The breakup starts at the beginning of the render in Vegas now and continues.
I shall try to render in DVDA and see how that goes. The project was originally created in Vegas 10, but I can’t move it from Vegas 11 to ten, right?
If that doesn’t work any other options you can think of?
    Thanks.

Rendering chapter based project in Vegas Pro 11 (511). Several minutes before the end of the thirty minute project the hicups start, cutting in and out of black.
MXF through Raylight Ultra on the timeline. Render is to MPEG2 for authoring and burningin DVD Architect, using Widescreen DVD Architect Widescreen video stream.

November 5, 2011 at 3:11 am in reply to: .MOV render settings?

To clarify, I am sending the raw footage to an editor who cuts in FCP. I usually courier on an external HDD. The question relates to ways to render the footage to a smaller file while retaining quality so I could maybe ftp it. Make sense now?

Super isntructions for viewer to blink.
This will save you time and the project becomes interactive.
    Just a suggestion.

November 15, 2007 at 7:20 pm in reply to: Portable Backdrops

Just completed a series of talking head interviews using black velvet as a backdrop.
Worked great, no shine and doesn’t wrinkle that easily.
Best if not lit, but you’ll figure that out.
Bought it at a fabric store.
Discount fabric stores have lots of gawdy, mottled fabric you’d never use for anything, but for a backdrop suddenly it works.
Also, put together a backdrop with a gobo,—magic.
Haven’t tried it yet, but intend to use an old protable film screen as a white backdrop (great for web stuff).
The screen can also double as a place to hang other backdrops.
Should be lots of those around as not many use them to view 8mm anymore,—-right!

What you don’t want to do is “throw something together”.
Your logo is you identity and should be chosen with care.
Hire an expert, and cheap out on other stuff,
Even if it’s a word logo have it done right in an appropriate font.
