this was the first thing i saw missing from AE7 as soon as i got it and installed it.
its still in the help pages though but it has been removed

been using decklink cards on my PCs for years for this purpose and they have been great, plus you cant beat the price

well i already transcoded a couple files with my mac, but there has to be some a way to work dvcpro50 on a pc though, right?
btw, i had several hundred gigs of footage, so transcoded all of it wouldnt really have been an option

there is a plugin called light wrap that comes with composite wizard, but that is sold separately from AFX

if its connected via ethernet then it can with no added software. just turn on windows sharing under sys pref- sharing.

you could always buy a couple mac mini’s , and run the AE renderer under win xp until adobe releases a native version. then switch back to os X (and the mini’s proc is upgradeable too) 🙂
