Change color of the pasteboard?
I’m working in AE7, before I could change the color of the pasteboard (I think that’s what they call the grey area around the active composited image). It was good to change it to black on occasion to be sure the edges didn’t have any glitches.

you can change darken or klighten the entire UI (including pasteboard) by choosing Edit > Preferences > UI colors, and using the slider to make it darker or lighter.

Thanks for the response. I’d like to on occasion just get the pasteboard to black like in previous versions, not the whole interface to dark grey. The dark grey still isn’t dark enough to see if there are any anomolies around the edge. It would be a shame if this feature really was removed in AE7.

It appears that that feature is gone. Honestly I never used it, and I doubt most people did.
But I do understand the need for it, and you may want to email adobe and ask to have it added back in in the next version.

this was the first thing i saw missing from AE7 as soon as i got it and installed it.
its still in the help pages though but it has been removed
i also truly miss this feature

I agree. Thinking about how I do a lot of tutorials that show the AE interface, it’s hard for me to see the edges when the greys are so close – this would be helpful, alas.
