i started writing am expresion when i needed to the exact same thing, but would up hand animating.
the benefit of the expression is if you can use this to drive many different parameters, and if you need to change the sound/music, you dont have to reanimate.
i was creating some animations where we were pretty sure the music was going to change, plus these animations would be used in a :30 spot and not necessarliy at the same point in time. with the expression you could just slide the audio to where you need it and bam! your done 🙂

if you have AE7, then it comes with one (might be pro version only)
if not there is realviz retimer, re:vision twixtor.
the foundry has kronos in its furnace for AE package which i think is what adobe incorporated in to ae7

you can paint right on the layer if you like, then, when you are done switch the effect to paint on transparent

select the comp/comps you want to “export” and do a collect files for selected comps if you need to bring the media with you, or reduce if you dont and save the a copy of the project.
import the collected/copy project in to your main project and your set

in the effect window, select paint on transparent

there was also the workaround of setting your clip to loop an extra time or so in the intreprate footage settings

definetely not a dot release.
sure i would have liked to see a few new features that have been in the request queue for a long long time, but there is a lot in there that has been shown so far.
But i dont think we have seen all the new stuff so far. wait a couple weeks to get the public beta (or hopefully before) and then we can see the rest of the little improvements that i hope will be in there that makes our loves that much easier and our work that much better

grads on helps… but i find it distracting.
the 7.0.1 helps just a touch, but its aint great.
you just have to live with one or the other

im pretty sure it samples each frame, and thats where your problem lies.
set the viewing mode to samples and scrub through your clip. i bet you’ll see the cause fo the the frames that are popping
