Paint Effect/Mask Opacity
I have a white star that I traced with a bezier mask. I applied the paint effect and painted in the star with red. I want to drop the opacity of the mask to 0% so that the white is invisible and the red appears to be painting in the star. I have succeeded with the paint effect, however, I can not get the bezier mask to drop it’s opacity. What am I doing wrong? How can I make the white dissappear?

in the effect window, select paint on transparent
