At minimim, by a decent external mic. Camcorder mics notoriously sound bad with loud live bands. You may also need a 10db pad if your camera doesnt have manual audio settings. You can always turn up your audio if it’s a little too low but if it clips alot,you can’t fix that.

My camera makes mts files and I don’t see where Vegas can render back out as mts. I render hi res, high bitrate mp4 or wmv.

I believe rendering AVCHD video on any computer will cause other high CPU usage programes to slow down.

With m2t it should work. In options, preferences, make sure enable no recompress long GOP,,,, is checked. If the video is not being changed,it should not recompress.

Ah! Good ol’ Sonic Foundry. Sony bought them out like, ver. 3 or 4 I think. It was audio only for a while,,, What ver did they add video?

Grab the tab by the little dots in the upper left of that tab and drag it off. Any time you put an undocked window near the docking area, it snaps into the dock. Hope this helps, Danny Hays

Also Soundforge is only a mono or stereo editor. You can’t mix with it. I can do most anything I need right in Vegas.

Lowering the bitrate in the render, custom, video tab will also make the file size smaller.

Start a new project, set external control & automation, “New video motion keyframes” to smooth. Now put a clip on the timelline, add keyframes to event pan and crop, they will be smooth. At least with Vegas Pro 9e. Hope this helps, Danny Hays
