Just add an audio track, select your audio interface in preferences, audio devices and record. Hope this helps, Danny

What kind of video is it? If it’s from the same camera that work fine before, try system restore to before it started. Hope this helps, Danny

Most green screen, chromakeying works better with progressive footage. Also play oround with a golf swing or b-bal bat swing, Interpolate seems to work better with fast moving video, where blend seems to work better with fast moving footge. Danny

  • If you your audio editor has Vegas, He can do that without leaving Vegas. In fact each audio channel defaultly has gate, compression and EQ on each track. Vegas was audio only on Ver 1 and 2.
Can you not import a wave into logic on a mac?? vegas aslo supports DX and VST pluggins. I’ve tried them all and like Vegas better by far. Danny

Other than capturing video with audio, rendering audio only and then deleting the original video, I don’t see a way for you to do this. Audio apps won’t see firewire cameras as audio interfaces. I have a Presonus Firepod, 8 in and 8 out plus spdif. But I recently bought an Mbox mini 2 on Ebay, brand new that comes with Pro Tools 7.4 with a free upgrade to ver 8 for $239.00 I prefer Sonar or Nuendo but Pro Tools is considered the best audio NLE in the world. Plus I can record with effects at a lower latency than any other interface out there that doesn’t come with onboard effects. It has one XLR w/ phantom power and a line or instrument in. It also works with other audio programs than Digidesign hardware based ones with the windows drivers installed. I love the little thing. Danny

My Audigy has a mic level input. Try making an adapter from XLR to 1/4 inch. pin 2 is tip and pin 3 is sleave, bypass the camera. Record right into your audio editor. Hope this helps, Danny

July 19, 2009 at 7:16 pm in reply to: Sony Vegas Pro 9 60 FPS video lags

There are 60P video servers out there like DVS and yes the smoothness is great, even with faster moving objects but the cost of these servers is very high. Also they don’t stream video as we normally do, they place a folder of targa files on the time line and it playes them back as a frame sequence at 60P. John R. is right and the main use is to be able to make slow motion video and it still look very smooth. Danny

    Is your monitor 4 by 3 or 16 by 9? render 720 x 480 if it’s 3 x 4, 1280 x 720 if it’s 16 x 9 wide screen. Danny

Most computers wont playback 30 fps in the preview window without some sort of render. Vegas is a CPU based program and no video card will help the preview speed. Danny
