It gets activated every time you touch the Lumetri Color panel. Very annoying. Like Ann suggested, make a keyboard shortcut to shut it off if it keeps happening.

I recently made the switch from Mac to PC at my office, as have a few others…
– As far as I have seen, there is no real difference in the Creative Cloud Software.
– I think it’s personal preference which you go with. I like the Mac OS better, but I got a far superior PC for the price and can upgrade it as needed. Graphics cards are becoming increasingly important and a PC can give you more options.
– Yes, we have multiple editors passing off projects between Mac and PC with little issue, besides them occasionally seeing file paths differently. Then it’s just a matter of reconnecting.
– I think it’s worth it to go with what your comfortable with. I do worry that Apple isn’t giving the professional users as much attention as they have previously and their hardware isn’t as robust. With how quickly technology is changing and the inability to upgrade parts in a Mac, they may not have the lifespan it once did. -
Pre-compose your logo first, then create your animation with the precomps. Change the logo by changing whatever is in the precomp.
You can also replace multiple layers by selecting them, holding Alt (Opt), and dragging your new layer on top. Pre-composing allows for more flexibility in my opinion though.

You could keyframe the x-axis position on one clip and the copy and paste the motion attributes to the rest of the clips. Once you have one or two lined up correctly in your sequence, in theory it should go rather quickly.

1. To make the plane move faster, simply speed up the animation.
2. Here is the manual for compositing in Element 3D. Scroll to the bottom for the tidbit on particles.
3. It depends on the 3D model.Your particles could also use a little more work. Add some pre-run in the emitter so they are already emitting when the shot starts. I would also make them a little more transparent and have them fade over life. This is all assuming you are going for the exhaust trails and not the engines on fire!

July 21, 2017 at 8:03 pm in reply to: Rendering pausing for very long amounts of timeWhat are your computer specs? Sounds like a huge project… This could be where a render farm comes in handy, depending on your budget.
I suggest rendering to an image sequence. That way if anything goes wrong in your export you can start at the frame you need as opposed to starting all over.

You may have to wait for them to finish conforming in Premiere before they play back.

I contacted Matt at technical support a few months ago and he was very responsive and helpful. I’m guessing the website is taking a back seat to the actual visual effects work Kramer is doing.

Thanks Ty. Yes, we do format the cards before use. Since posting, we’ve experienced the issue with a new pair of cards. We also did contact Zoom about the problem, but I was hoping in the meantime that if this was a known issue then there was a fix, if not at least an explanation. Coming up empty so far I’m afraid.
