Here’s my sense. It seems to be a playback issue. Perhaps quicktime has trouble playing back the prores files from the 150. The frames are all there, from what I can tell. Is this something that will get fixed on newer versions of quicktime? It is annoying, I agree.

In your opinion, would it make a difference for broadcasters if it was shot on P2 with the HVX 170 or 200?

Yes. I double-clicked on the clip in the timeline to bring it into the viewer. Then select “open.” I click back to the timline.
Then both angles DO show up in the viewer. But then when play the clip, as soon as the clip is playing, I lose both angles in the viewer and it goes back to showing only the one angle.
I’m probably doing something stupid, right?

And the HMC150 currently does NOT allow you to assign a name…is that correct? (I know the EX1, for example, does allow this, and it’s a nice feature.)

I’d have to agree with you on that trevor.
I suppose after logging and transfering, we could go and change all those .mov files to something else–but what a pain! It would be nice if there was some way to change the names in the log&transfer process.Dan S.

Only problem…I don’t know how to do that?
Do it in the FCP timeline? But once the clip is joined as a multi-clip, not sure how to delete frames.
Or do I put the one canon clip in the timeline by itself, do the deleting of frames, then export as another clip, which I’d then import again and use as a multi-clip with the other cam’s footage?Thanks again…
