November 21, 2010 at 10:14 pm in reply to: Reading the serial number for a Decklink HD/Intensity pro via SDKHi Folks,
the iterator always returns the boards in the same order. At the moment,
there is no unique identifier available for the boards, so using the iterator
is your best bet. Please contact Blackmagic Developer Support at developer@blackmagic-design.com for
any DirectShow or other development related issues.cheers

Hi Mike,
If you’re looking at closed-caption information, and possibly other VANC data,
you’ll need to use a 10 bit mode. The CC data has eight significant bits (and
two check bits), but they’re at the opposite end of the 10 bit word than the
active picture and get stripped in the 10 to 8 bit conversion. Please contact Blackmagic Developer Support at developer@blackmagic-design.com for
any DirectShow or other development related issues.cheers

Hi Krzysztof,
You can do some configuration of DeckLink cards through the DirectShow API, but
in general, the DeckLink API is a better bet. The API is part of the DeckLink SDK
which includes full documentation and is available on line. Please contact Blackmagic Developer Support at developer@blackmagic-design.com for
any DirectShow or other development related issues.cheers

Hi Folks,
DeckLink HD Extreme 3D+ is a new board which adds support for HDMI 1.4 to the
existing HD Extreme 3D feature set.You can tell if you have an HD Extreme 3D+ by looking at the packaging – the new
boards have a “Supports HDMI 1.4” sticker on the box. You can also check in the
DeckLink Control Panel – the HD Extreme 3D+ is labeled as such at the top of the
window.DaVinci Resolve supports HD Extreme 3, HD Extreme 3D and HD Extreme 3D+.
The Resolve 7.0.1 release adds support for the new board and is required if you
have HD Extreme 3D+ hardware.cheers

Hi Martin,
You need to capture in 10 bit as the two bits that are stripped to
capture in 8 bit are significant in the CC data. For more details, please contact Blackmagic Developer Support at:
developer@blackmagic-design.com

Hi Darren,
Did you install the “USB 3.0 Desktop Video Installer”? You need this
installer, rather than the Intensity installer. The latest version is
online on the Blackmagic Website.cheers
