this error might only accure, when encore output is not correct multiplexed.

you might also look for the latest version of tracer CMF, please use the automatic update-function that´s been within the application.

be awared to only use 1 (one) single video-asset within a single timeline at a time, encore is no editing-software.

we´ve tested encore output with tracer cmf a lot without any problems – no eclipse error, neigther sony stream verification, but I need to tell you I haven´t tested CS6 output so far (have been CS4 and CS5 + 5.5.)

if you are still running into trouble you might sent an email to larry or robin – to me it sounds like your data is corrupted.

hi,
best way to go to PAL DVD is a format-conversion, as you need to go 720×576@25fps

but 60fps is a very, very bad starting-point for PAL. you should use after effect and interprete your footage as 25fps, the speedup the entire video to get back to the original duration. luckily you are progressive so you wont get in trouble with interlaced picture.

hey thayalan,
could you please explain what system you are working with. are you talking about PAL or NTSC.

there are different aspec-ratios and pixel-sizes at both of them.

PAL is 720×576, NTSC is 720×480 with different aspec-ratios at 4:3 or 16:9.

there are several issues as you need to do a format-conversion for PAL if you edited in NTSC.

meaning: different framerate and aspec-ratios/resolution! media player is no reference according to interlaced material.

I strongly advice to have a look at your video on a reference-monitor to keep track of the field-dominace.

finally you should encode your assets prior authoring using adobe media encoder.

if you want to encode H264 on mac you´ve only got a few options:

– adobe media encoder
– mainconcept reference
– apple compressor
– episode pro

if you use adobe media encoder, you might better look at the black level & brightness if you are using CS6. it´s got a bug, i don´t know if they fixed it now. CS5 and 5.5 was ok.

mainconcept the same, could not create original color.

I would have a look at compressor or episode

I don´t know which version of their software have used, but I´m using it as well from early beginning. there have been several bugs that has been fixed since then, especially according to dolby true HD-support.

BDEdit which has been released arround autum 2012 has BD-J support which EasyBD has not (think about the name – you know why it´s called easyBD?!)

and compared to DoStudio: some parts of the software are licenced from DVD Logic, same with BD-Reauthor Pro (for Scenarist) or BD2DoStudio Tool.

according to BDCMF: I know the DVD Logic-guys working very hard to improove the programm, and as far as I know it will be implemented soon.

In the mean time you can create BDCMF using Rivergate Blustreak Tracer CMF, which could implement copy management, too.

and finally sony CMF support: I have created a lot BD-premasters that has gone to replicators all over europe – non of them required sony CMF – all asked for BDCMF, but it might be different within the US.

I don´t like Encore, too – but the output definetly is BD-spec-complient, as it uses sonic/rovi muxer, you might look at the ves-files that will be created while importing assets. there have been several guys (like bruce nazarian as well) that tested with sony and panasonic stream verifier several times – NO errors.

sorry – I disagree in several ways:

1.) encore is creating spec-compliant output, we tested this several times using sony stream verifier and eclipse verifier.

2.) if you woild like to create full-spec BDs, there´s also another possibility: EasyBD or BDEdit from DVD Logic.
