Windows is generally crap with Quicktime. The only ‘fix’ is to move to OS X. Otherwise keep using VLC.

That’s a very odd size, where did that come from?

[Eric Bowman] “I get this tiny 1 pixel wide black line on the far right of the video. Now, if I export out of Quicktime though I have no problem”

What if you apply a crop, is it still there after transcode?

You are very very unlikely to get acceptable results re-encoding and On2 FLV whatever you try.

Get a good geared head tripod. Set your aperture correctly . Shoot in 1080p. Move the camera slowly on the tripod. Grade with Magic Bullet looks.

Shaky movement in your first shot will kill quality.
