Sorry but that’s not anywhere near exact. Your Mac laptop very likely uses a low quality (when compared to broadcast quality) TN panel and this is dithered from 6bit. “A TV set” could mean anything.
Sorry, I don’t want to appear as being difficult but you are probably not using the correct gear to reach a correct judgement on how your video really looks. (Have you even calibrated your laptop display? What Gamma setting are you using? etc).
That aside, if you need to colour correct, then you should do this in FCP or use the more basic filters in compressor which are somewhat hit and miss.
